In Aloft, two leaves break free from the canopy and rise into an expansive blue sky. Their small scale against the vast open space gives the painting a feeling of freedom, possibility, and movement.

Part of my Nature’s Rhythms series, this painting reflects on the moment we leave the familiar behind. The leaves are carried somewhere unknown, turning a simple natural occurrence into a meditation on release, trust, and the exhilaration of being set free.
